Emilio Timp
is an artist based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He first finished Mechanical Engineering and later he graduated from the HKU Academy
Of Arts Utrecht in 2018.
During these years of study the subject changed from functional to conceptual, after which it developed into biomorphic and abstract sculptures and installations nowadays. Timp often uses metals in all kinds of ways, shapes and crafts in his work. From cold-forged copper to cast bronze, from steel welding to mechanical techniques.
Timp plays with biomorphic forms, simplicity, balance and abstraction. A great desire for harmony and fascination for the aesthetic experience are the fuel for his creative work.
He strives for the artworks to explore our human connection with natural elements.
