Emilio Timp
is an artist based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He graduated from the HKU Academy
Of Arts Utrecht in 2018.
He creates abstract sculptures mostly out of metals, by using handcrafts such
as grinding and cold-forging. His work is often characterized by the play of
physical tension versus balance, and often tends to serenity.
Emilio’s practice is inspired by a deep rooted interest for transcending the
mind. He believes this state could be reached trough experiences characterized by sublimity and
aesthetics, both in nature and manmade objects.
